 We have  Home stays and cultural exchange programs Participants will be placed with a Nepali family in a small rural village. This provides the volunteers with an excellent opportunity to learn about all aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, language, food and people. Volunteers should remember that this is a cultural exchange and that an effort to offer some knowledge of their own home culture and customs to the family with whom they stay is expected. Participants in the program will not go through training in Nepal with the other volunteers. During their home-stay, volunteers will attend 2 hours of language lessons in the morning and in the afternoon. They will also have the opportunity to visit different interested areas. Govt. School English Teaching – 

We are looking for Volunteers who teach English to children in government schools and organizations. As we all know 'children are future of the nation'. SM has supported some schools, Library, Club and Community Learning Center. The children range from 8 to 16 years old. Each class typically include 10-40 student. The teaching curriculum for each major subject is based on the students' standard book. But volunteers are also encouraged to create their own lesson plans. Depending on the subject, volunteers should bring along teaching materials such as picture books, instruments, flash cards, art supplies, and songs. Our Resource Center created to provide a library & reading materials and English language programs to members of the local groups. At the center, multiple three-month English classes are offered to local youth and adults. The language classes range from beginner to advanced, Foreign English teachers to improve their conversational English.
 
Community Health Post/Health professionals –

Including doctors, nurses and medical students – can join the Health  Program and contribute to the improvement in the health of the nation of Nepal. Doctors and nurses can gain valuable experience in their clinical expertise and learn new professional skills in a developing country, while medical students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience. Eco-village currently has opportunities for volunteers to assist at health centers, hospitals, remote health posts and mobile clinics. We have got 3 health posts and two health clinic and Eco-village Center

    Agriculture and Organic Farm –

As an organic farming volunteer, you will learn how to grow your own food without pesticides, be exposed to many new and alternative learning experiences, and give something back to the environment. During your stay, you will be living together with the farm family where we will work together, learn together, cook together and eat together. It is a great opportunity for you to learn Nepalese culture and lifestyle through immersion We have Organic Farm you also  help ther 20 farmer on village
     
    
Working in Orphanages Home - For orphaned children one of the most beneficial things for them is to be able to have access to Education. As it will provide more opportunities for them in the future once they have to make their own way in the world. Resources are often scarce so if they have access to a teacher it will be a great advantage to them. Depending on your own expertise and interests, though, you can also teach drawing, songs, music, dance, cooking, or any number of activities, and generally just spend quality time with the children.   We support 3 Orphanage homes at Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan.
     
    Environmental & Sanitation Awareness –

is specially designed for university students. University students can involve research volunteering work in Nepal. We suggest different research subjects like people, culture, society, development, education, health, gender, Science and technology, history, human right,  media, Green and stone mission, peace process, caste system, effect of the global warming in Himalayan region and politics etc. we design the Research volunteering package as your requirement. Anyone can participate in research programs in different sectors. Students who are studying theoretical subjects or going to obtain university degree can be a part of Research. Research volunteer program provides an opportunity to gain totally new experience and knowledge related your subjects.

    Volunteers are welcome to design their own program in various areas - You are most welcome to work in any field and we will support you to arrange all the necessary things. Here we collect some stones and build new platform at school, village, park etc...

Program Location
Our main project place is Chitwan. Besides this we work  in Kathmandu

Valley, Pokhara,  Gorkha, Nuwakot all of which are near to a major city. Volunteers can look up the places to get more of a feel for the areas and we can discuss where you will stay when you arrive according to your needs and with considerations of safety of volunteers and availability. Our local co-ordinators will be looking after you.

Training and orientation:
Volunteers will be met at the airport by a representative holding a placard with volunteer's name and office name on it. The representative will take volunteer to guest house. All we request to our volunteers please provide us your flight information as soon as possible so that a punctual pick-up can be arranged.
Upon Volunteers arrival in Kathmandu we offer 2 days to 1 week of orientation and training at office, depending on the type of programs and time period. These trainings help volunteers to understand our organization, various programs and opportunities, country, Nepali language and culture, safety measures, visa issues, dos and don’ts, etc. During the orientation and training period in Kathmandu, we organize the sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley 3 hours every day.
During the orientation and training period, volunteers will be participating in:
-2 hours basic Nepali language class per day
-Cultural information/safety issues
-Volunteers’ interests, programs & opportunities, and placement information
-Sightseeing in Kathmandu every day after training
-Shopping opportunities upon request
 - Training length will be accordingly to your stay.   It ranges from two days for two weeks up to 1 week for five months.
After the orientation and training, we transfer you to your working area. Our staff will accompany you to the our project sites or host family and help you settle in according to Program you chosen.
We charge for above this program $100.

Placement:

So far as placement is concerned stay in a Nepali family where they are offered Nepali food twice a day (around 9 o'clock in the morning and 7o'clock in the evening). Tea is served in the morning and afternoon. Usually school, local organization/club/women groups and Health post at easy distance away and the volunteers will have to teach 3-4 classes everyday. Generally school/organization starts at 10 a.m. and is over at 4 p.m. More often than not, school runs 6 days a week and Saturday is a holiday. On that day the volunteers can get together and share their experiences. They can travel to nearby towns to purchase things for daily use and other areas in case of longer vacation. Besides their teaching time, volunteers can utilize their spare time in organizing the youth and women's groups of the community to do some worthwhile activities regarding avoidance of plastic materials and raise awareness about income generating programs.

Program Requirement
We do not ask for any formal qualifications from our volunteers.

All we ask is that you have a genuine desire to help people and willing to experience new culture and lifestyle.
Program Schedule

    Our programs run throughout the year. The volunteer program starts on the 1st and 15th of each month however we are flexible if you would like to start the program at another time.  You can volunteer for any time from 2 weeks to 5 months.
